1.      What a year at Beekers Capital

As the year comes to an end, I am taking some time to reflect on the projects of the past year. It turns out, it has been quite eventful! We've made significant strides in the advisory, principal investment, restructuring, and CFO services areas. Here's a brief look at some of the key projects we've been involved in:

1. ADPI Investment: Increased our stake in the B2B SaaS mortgage platform ADPI post our restructuring efforts in 2022 and continued the journey as operational director next to founder Maarten Tellegen

2. OHAO Expansion: Also expanded our stake in online mortgage broker OHAO, doubling down on the amazing platform Maarten has built (10/10 from 750 reviews a dvieskeuze, which is an amazing testament to quality of the team)

3. Fourthline's Funding: Supported AI-driven KYC and AML platform Fourth line in securing a substantial EUR 50m funding, a major step in their journey

4. Funxtion RCF: Helped B2B SaaS fitness technology provider Funxtion in securing a credit facility from Rabobank, as part of my continued role as Funxtion’s fractional CFO

5. Battolyser Systems Series A: Advised cleantech Battolyser Systems on their series A from Innovation Industries and Global Climate Capital, led by my brother-in-arms Koen Derks

6. Battolyser Systems Venture Debt: Advised Battolyser's EUR 40m Venture Debt package from the European Investment Bank (EIB), again led by Koen

7. ADPI Exit: Our journey with ADPI culminated in a successful exit to Yellowtail Conclusion, marking a key milestone as my first exit from investing my own hard-earned money. ADPI renamed Hypact Advisor and Maarten continues as director within Yellowtail Conclusion

8. Exact's carve-out M&A: Advised long-standing client Exact on the carve-out and sale of its MSP business to Odin Groep, our transaction in the tech-driven managed services space

9. Nedscaper's New Chapter: Aided Nedscaper in welcoming Fox-IT founder Mennovan der Marel to its board coupled with his EUR2.2minvestment into the business, strengthening Nedscaper's cybersecurity offerings

10. Amsterdam Marathon: On a personal note, completed the TCS Amsterdam Marathon in 3h47, a challenge fully inspired and pushed by Koen who beat me by a cool 40 minutes and proceeded to steal the show by proposing to his Romina on the finish line (who said yes!)
