RISK, founded by Harmen Vollmuller, is a leading insurtech and underwriting firm whose proprietary platform SureBase powers the comparison and distribution of embedded financial products - both for partners and for its own labels, including Overstappen.nl and Autoverzekering.nl.

The strategic rationale was straightforward: by plugging into Dyme’s platform, RISK can bring recurring insurance products as well as consumer comparison volume right alongside Dyme’s savings and financial insights offerings -creating new revenue streams while delivering more relevant options and more value to consumers. A true win–win–win.

We worked closely with Joran, David Knap, and Wouter at Dyme in developing this commercial strategy (shoutout to my multi-business-partner Maarten Tellegen for spotting the insurance premium angle early 💡), building early traction, and ultimately guiding them through the transaction.

This deal strengthens Beekers Capital’s position in Dutch fintech and financial services market, following earlier principal investments and advisory deals including ‍, OHAO, and others. It also marks closed deal no. 3 for this year and deal no. 18 since inception.
